You have three travel options, via air, via rail and via road. Obviously, the cost of travelling will vary, depending on the mode of travel you choose.

Bhuntar (Kullu) serves as the nearest airport to Kasol. You can also fly to Delhi or Chandigarh and from there, reach Kasol by rail or road.

Taking a train is obviously a good option when you are on a budget trip. There is no railway station in Kasol. But you can board a train to the Joginder Nagar railway station. From the station, taxis and buses are available. Remember, the bus will cost less.

The village has good road facilities. So, you can definitely opt for the roadways. But selecting the vehicle will need consideration. Suppose, you want to travel via private car. In that case, travelling solo will be pretty costly. But if you are in a group and the total cost will be divided, then it is okay! If you are cool with not taking a private vehicle, opt for a bus. It will be absolutely within your budget.

The best time to visit Kasol is in the summer season, from March to June. The weather remains perfect this time for sightseeing and adventurous activities. The monsoon months, from July to September, are also good for a Kasol trip. But the winter months, from October to February, are off-season. The village receives heavy snowfall and hence, scopes of sightseeing and adventure are restricted.

Generally, we will suggest the peak season for your trip. But during the peak season, hotel charges are higher compared to the offseason. That is something you can consider for your budget trip. Another of the religious places to see in Kasol, Naina Bhagwati Mandir sits on the bank of the Parvati river. This is a Hindu temple but the way it has been constructed, it looks like a Buddhist monastery when seen from afar.

Another serene heaven within the paradise of Kasol! As the name promises, this park will let you spend time in the lap of nature. And that too in complete tranquillity. Come to this park in the morning or evening, sit for an hour or two and you will return with a completely relaxed and happy mind! Unlike the previous places, you will have to pay an entry fee here. But that is only Rs. 50 and if you are a student, Rs. 30.
