What's new
The Union Health Ministry’s CoWin portal has now introduced a way for you to link your Covid-19 vaccination certificates to your passports. The official Twitter handle of the Aarogya Setu app broadcasted a tweet stating “Now, you can update your Passport number in your vaccination certificate”.
Here’s how you can update your passport number in your vaccination certificate:
Step 1:Visit the CoWin website
Step 2:Login using your registered mobile number
Step 3:Select the ‘Raise an Issue’ option
Step 4:Under ‘Raise an Issue’, select the Passport option
Step 5:Select the person’s name from the drop down list
Step 6:Enter passport number
Step 7:Click ‘Submit’.
Once you successfully complete these steps, you can immediately download your updated vaccination certificate with your passport number added to it.
Additionally, in case your name on the vaccine certificate and passport don’t match, you can even request for a correction in the name. Here are the steps you’d need to follow to correct your personal details:
Step 1:Visit the CoWin website
Step 2:Sign in using your registered mobile number
Step 3:Click on the ‘Raise an Issue’ option and select the person’s name
Step 4:Click on the ‘Correction in Certificate’ option
Step 5:Choose the options you need to make corrections to
Step 6:Enter the correct details, click on ‘Continue’ to submit your details
Just ensure you double check the information you’ve provided since the portal allows you to modify information only once.
