Spiritual Significance of Kedarnath Dham

Kedarnath Temple is one of the only twelve Jyotirlingas and is one of the most important temples in Hinduism. This shrine is steeped in the legends and mythology of Kedarnath Temple, as it is said to have been built by the Pandavas and later revived by Adi Shankaracharya. It is said that Lord Shiva eluded the Pandavas here by turning into a bull and then disappearing into the group, making this a sacred site and adding to the spiritual significance of Kedarnath Dham. Devotees also believe they experienced spiritual healing at Kedarnath Dham and the daily aartis at the Kedarnath Temple, with chants and bells, made them feel closer to Mahadev.
