Create personalised limits
You cannot promise yourself that you will switch off your phone one day and not look back at it. That is impossible because 80% of our life depends on the internet and phones now. There are many more things apart from social media that require our constant attention. But you can set a limit for yourself. If you spend 20 minutes on a gaming app, your social media apps should not be used for more than 10 mins. Or you can skip playing games and use social media for 15 mins maximum. Try to get a utility app on your phone that helps you clear cached data and unnecessary junk. Doing this small task will show you one of the benefits of digital detox.
