Along with this, the tourist will also require to carry proof of health insurance and show a negative COVID-19 test as proof that has been taken at least five days ahead of departure. In case the results are positive then the tourism authority will ask them to quarantine in an accommodation that they have installed in the country. Further, some of the common and important WHO guidelines during the pandemic, such as maintaining physical distancing and wearing face masks at all times will need to be followed. Malta

Nestled in the Mediterranean Sea is the gorgeous little island country of Malta. The quaint little country, which is one of the top summer destinations in the world, has also reopened its tourism. The international flights to and from Malta reopened on July 1. However, there are quite a few restrictions with respect to the places from which tourists are welcome. So far, the country has shared a list of 50 countries that are allowed to visit them, with special permits. You wouldn't need to take up any quarantine as you visit the country.

However, people who are visiting from countries that are not listed, they will need to take up special precautions along with a permit from the Malta Health Authorities as well as undergo the required quarantine. Similar health codes and social distancing measures have been put in place to ensure Malta is safe. Currently, they have reported 679 confirmed cases.

Egypt

Egypt, which is recognised as one of the top tourist destinations in the world, also opened its tourism. The country has reopened its airports along with many major tourist attractions, as in July. Reuters has reported that the country's international air traffic has been resumed following July 1. Although there are proper virtual tours of some of the major tourist attractions, they have further been reopened for the public. Attractions such as the Great Pyramids of Giza and more have been reopened for tourists.

Even though tourism has opened in Egypt, it comes with some restrictions on the capacity that the hotels and tourist attractions can withhold. They have reduced the capacity of hotels and rooms for domestic travellers. Further, they have also allotted resorts in Southern Sinai, Marsa Matrouh and the Red Sea province to foreign travellers. Reports suggest that Egypt has seen over 89,078 confirmed cases.

Dubai

Dubai, one of the most visited international cities in the world, has also reopened for tourism, as on July 7. As per a report on Dubai's visitor's bureau, the state has announced that they would require a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival. The test needs to be taken no more than 96 hours in advance of the arrival or right after the landing. The thermal screening will take place at the airport along with a COVID-19 test too. In fact, if travellers show any of the COVID-related symptoms, they will be asked to take the test.

Further, proper proof of medical insurance should also be provided. This is to validate any COVID-19 related costs that might incur in the city. A Health Declaration Form that ensures that the traveller, along with his/her family, do not have any symptoms of COVID-19. Following this, travellers also need to download and register their personal and health-related details on Dubai's COVID-19 DXB app, which is a tracking app for COVID-19. According to reports, UAE has witnessed about 57,498 confirmed cases.

The Maldives

Also known to be one of the world's top tourist destinations, The Maldives opened its travel gates on July 15 for tourists. Ahead of the initiative, they published 27-pages-long guidelines on health and safety in the times of COVID-19. Much of the tourist-related activities have been revamped to follow the necessary COVID-19 guidelines that have been charted out by the WHO. The Ministry of Tourism of the Maldives have mentioned in their 27 pages guidelines about the guest luggage, requirements of the resort staff and more. As a tourist, you will need to confirm your book at any local resort or guesthouse in advance to ensure that you receive your entry visa without any stress.

During this time, you will need to stay in the same resort or hotel as a safety protocol. The proper thermal screening will take place along with random COVID-19 testing, upon landing. The government would not be paying for these random tests, though. So far, the Maldives has experienced 3,103 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
