We hope you and your loved ones are doing well.
If there is one thing us travellers are good at - it's learning to adapt to situations. While we adapt to this new normal of work from home or not seeing our families and friends as often as we'd like to, we should also take a moment and appreciate our resilience as a community that has brought us this far.
We miss receiving mails and photographs from our members sharing their travel experiences, of how they have enjoyed the benefits of their InterMiles Membership, of how they reached their mileage goals and planned that much awaited holiday. The summer vacations are almost over, the travel season is coming to an end as monsoon begins, but we look at this as a temporary postponement of our journeys.
Resumption of Air Services
While the nationwide lockdown continues to be in force, there has been some easing of restrictions w.r.t air travel. As you may be aware that Ministry of Civil Aviation has allowed domestic flights to operate in a calibrated manner for travel w.e.f 25th May, 2020.
We would, however, urge you to only plan essential travel right now. In our fight against the pandemic, while all stakeholders will have instituted various protocols to make your travel safe, it's equally important that you take your own measures like wearing a mask, maintaining adequate distance and using sanitizers for the safety and well-being of yourself and your loved ones.
For your travel, we urge you to read and bookmark air travel guidelines published by Ministry of Civil Aviation to ensure you have a safe and a smooth journey. We would also like to draw your attention to the health protocols issued and being followed by different States / Union Territories for air passengers. Safety of Flight Bookings with Credit Shell
Basis different airline policies your flight bookings are safe with us against the airlines issued credit shell, giving you the flexibility of choosing your next flight with us. Please refer to the respective airline's policy before you cancel or reschedule your upcoming travel plans. For any booking where you have sought to cancel/reschedule your travel as per the respective airline's policy, the same has been actioned from our side. If there is anything pending, we apologize for the time taken and we promise to revert soon.
Miles Credit for Cancelled Flight Bookings
Mindful of the extraordinary times we are going through, we have credited Miles into the Membership Accounts on flights booked for travel dates within the lockdown period. We want you to keep making the best of your Membership as you accrue Miles for cancelled bookings as well.
Hotel Bookings Refund
You can check the revised policy w.r.t your hotels booking by visiting the 'Manage Booking' section on to make modifications or cancel your booking.
Your InterMiles Membership
We understand how much you love collecting and using InterMiles for all your activities. Your ability to earn InterMiles for your travel and stays have been impacted in the last couple of months.

  • Mileage Expiry Suspension: We understand you may have had limited opportunities to redeem InterMiles across flight and hotel bookings, and so we relaxed our mileage expiry policy till 31st July 2020. You now have more time with your Miles.
Your Membership Status
Your tier status remains unchanged and your travel and lifestyle tier benefits continue to be available to you till the validity of your tier. Our simplified tier retention criteria consider every mile you earn across any our products or programme partners towards your tier status. So, whether you are travelling or not, you can still earn miles and maintain your tier status as well as get upgraded.
Your Miles are with you and can be used for your future flights, hotel stays, fuel or any merchandize through our Rewards Store.

COVID-19 is an unprecedented situation and is changing everything about life and work as we know it. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting everyone. During these testing times, I wanted to reach out and update you on how we're approaching the situation. At InterMiles we're all focused on how to best protect and support our members, employees, our families and communities in the face of this unfolding crisis.
As the world continues to deal with the COVID-19 situation, we at InterMiles are constantly monitoring the evolving situation and taking proactive steps to cater to your service requirements at all times.
In light of the Government Advisories & directives on the COVID-19 situation, and as a measure of abundant precaution to ensure the safety of everyone; all our employees, Member Service support teams and various service providers are working tirelessly to serve you and ease any interruptions you may face in your travel plans booked with us.
With that in mind, we want to update you that we have made amendments to our hotel and airline booking policies, providing you flexibility for your travel plans.

Airline Bookings:
Irrespective of the airline policy, InterMiles will not be charging any cancellation or rescheduling fees for travel till 30th April, 2020. Also, as per the Government of India directive issued on 24th March 2020, regarding the nationwide lockdown, our Trade Partner, EaseMyTrip has announced that the flight inventory for travel date between 25th March to 14th April 2020 has been blocked. Members, we are constantly monitoring this evolving situation and will be keeping this policy under review and update it as soon as we get additional information from our Travel Partners. Hotel Bookings:
When scheduled travel becomes impossible due to published travel restrictions, members may receive a full refund on their hotel bookings done on the InterMiles platform. We are in constant touch with all our partners across to receive real-time information on any introduction or modifications to their policies due to evolving travel restrictions. As the situation is evolving rapidly, we will continue to keep you updated for you to make an informed decision regarding your travel plans.
Due to the high volume of incoming calls, waiting times at our Member Service support centres has been longer than usual. I, therefore, ask for your kind patience and understanding as currently, it is our priority to take care of our Members with time-sensitive travel needs.
