Only existing InterMiles members can enrol their child/children into the InterMiles programme. The child must be between 2 - 11 years of age and the InterMiles member who is enrolling the child will be identified as their Parent/Legal Guardian. A child’s InterMiles membership account cannot exist without being linked to a Parent/Legal Guardian’s InterMiles membership account.
A child’s InterMiles account cannot exist without being linked to a Parent/Legal Guardian’s InterMiles account until he is 12 years of age. Under rare or exceptional circumstances, if the Parent/Legal Guardian wishes to terminate a child’s InterMiles account, before the age of 12, they must contact the InterMiles Service Centre and place a special request with details of the same. If the request is processed, then the child’s account will be terminated.
The InterMiles earned by your child will reflect in the child’s InterMiles membership account for all eligible activities undertaken by him or her. Until the child reaches 12 years of age, the Parent/Legal Guardian can redeem accumulated InterMiles from their child/children’s account. Please check the InterMiles terms and conditions for more information.
Once your child is 12 years of age, his or her InterMiles membership account will continue to exist as an individual InterMiles membership account. Basically, the child's account will be automatically delinked from the Parent/Legal Guardian’s account and will be enabled with all the log in features so that he or she can directly access his or her account.
The InterMiles in the child’s InterMiles membership account can only be redeemed or transferred by the child who has turned 12 with updated credentials. The Parent/Legal Guardian will no longer have access to the child’s account and hence cannot redeem InterMiles from the child’s account. An e-mail will be sent to the registered e-mail ID of the Parent/Legal Guardian informing him or her about the same along with a request to change the contact credentials of the child’s account.
In the event of the death of the Parent/Legal Guardian, the InterMiles Service Centre must be informed. All the children linked to the InterMiles membership account of the deceased member can be delinked and subsequently linked to a new Parent/Legal Guardian based on the successful verification of the provided legal documentation.
Yes. Once the child has turned 12, his or her account will be delinked from your account. Post this, you can enrol another child. Basically, you can have maximum 5 children enrolled and linked at any given point of time.
Yes. Children between 2 - 11 years of age can be invited to join a MyFamily+ association. However, they must be first enrolled into the InterMiles programme. Since their InterMiles membership account is linked to their Parent/Legal Guardian’s InterMiles membership account, the Parent/Legal Guardian will be sent an e-mail and will have to accept the invitation from the child’s behalf and complete the required verifications.
If you wish to invite your own child to your MyFamily+ association, his or her account will be directly linked to your MyFamily+ association. For further details, please refer to MyFamily+ terms and conditions.
Yes, child accounts also get benefits depending on their individual tier which will get deposited in their respective Parent’s account. In case the same are not reflecting in the Parent’s account, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org
