Air India was the first Indian airline that went by the name Tata Airways when it was launched. Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata launched it in 1932 in Karachi. Jolly Grant is actually the name of the place in Dehradun district where the airport has been established. It is close to 27 km away from the main city.
