How to reach Bhatinda (Transportation)

By Air

For the longest time, Bhatinda lacked a proper airport. The closest airport to the city was the Ludhiana airport which is at a distance of 120 kilometres. However, much recently, the government managed to erect a commercial flying base for the city. Major domestic airlines such as Indigo, SpiceJet, Air India, GoAir have flights flying in and out of Bhatinda. You can make cheap flight bookings to Bhatinda from the site as the connectivity has tremendously improved since the airport came into existence. Alliance Air has introduced a dedicated number of flights to fly to Bhatinda from Delhi and back. The airport is not very huge and can accommodate a mere 100 passengers.

By Rail

Bhatinda Junction and Bhatinda Cantt. have regular trains connected to major cities in the country. Trains such as Abhatoofan Express, Kisan Express, SGNR Intercity and UMB Intercity run in and out of the city daily so travelling to Bhatinda by train is quite convenient. You can get these trains from Delhi, Chandigarh, and Kolkata. The rail connectivity is pretty decent, but travellers will have to change from Delhi or Chandigarh to reach Bhatinda.

By Road

With broader rail connectivity, not many buses drive to Bhatinda. There are some private buses such as the Mercedes Benz Bus Service and other Volvo providers who take the Bhatinda route. These buses usually head to connect to Chandigarh. You can find some buses going from Delhi to Bhatinda, or you can take up a road trip to avoid the erratic schedules of the buses. The roads have far too many speed-breakers and rumblers so it would be ideal to avoid speeding on the path.
