They also plan to install a new hall in the departure section to add three conveyor baggage claim belts in the arrivals section. Further, on the same, they also have plans to add two new aerobridges to enable smooth passenger movement. The expansion work is slated to be completed by 2020. There are plans to construct a third terminal to accommodate world-class facilities and amenities that the airport too that have been announced. It is said that terminal 3 would be at least seven times larger than terminal 2. Expansion plans are yet to be announced.
