Nagpur Airport was named after the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, BR Ambedkar. The airport is sprawled across 1,460 acres of land and is also the home of AFS Nagpur, which is part of the Indian Air Force. The growth in passenger congestion is a result of travellers who visit the city from the state capital, Mumbai.
