Jet Airways Enriches the Membership Tier Recognition Programme

With the introduction of the new Tier recognition programme, JetPrivilege members will benefit from the new accelerated Tier Points earning thus enabling faster upgrades and easier retentions of their membership tier.

Mumbai February 17, 2015:

Jet Airways along with it’s internationally acclaimed, award-winning frequent flyer programme, JetPrivilege, has taken another step towards enriching the travel experience of JetPrivilege members by unveiling the new Membership Tier recognition programme and making their experience more privileged every time they fly Jet Airways.

The new recognition programme enables the JetPrivilege members to move up the tiers as well as retain their existing tiers via new accelerated tier points accrual.

Tier Points and Tier Miles are earned on qualifying Jet Airways and Jet Airways codeshare flights. Total number of Tier Points OR Tier Miles earned within a specified time period allows a member to qualify for the relevant tier and enjoy associated tier benefits.

Tier Points will now be awarded not only on the basis of distance and frequency of flight activities but also on the basis of the value of the ticket purchased. In addition to this, the Tier Points and Tier Miles required to qualify for the Blue Plus tier have been reduced making it simpler and easier to move up the elite tiers.

Along with Base JPMiles, our Elite Tier members get rewarded with Tier Bonus Miles which we have further increased as part of our overall Tier enhancements and benefits associated with our Elite tiers. Apart from increased Tier Bonus Miles earning for our Elite Tiers, we have also introduced lounge access for self and 1 guest exclusively for our Platinum members.

The changes announced today are expected to redefine the Indian aviation and loyalty space, and reinforce Jet Airways’ market leadership in India by providing significantly improved benefits to members through major investments in the JetPrivilege rewards and recognition programme.

Cramer Ball, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways said, “Today's announcement is about taking another step in delivering an outstanding loyalty & recognition experience that puts our loyal customers first and extends Jet Airways’ leadership position in the Indian market. With the introduction of the new enhanced Tier recognition programme, we have ensured that JetPrivilege members who frequently fly with Jet Airways, receive higher value, better services and an enhanced full service flying experience with Jet Airways. This is one of our ways of delighting our JetPrivilege members.”

Manish Dureja, Managing Director, JetPrivilege, said, “At JetPrivilege, we know that today’s discerning flyer wants to ensure that their total spend is recognized and rewarded every time they travel and hence we have continued to build and revamp the programme by delivering exceptional value and service to our members. We are happy to partner in this unique initiative and are confident that the new enhanced Tier recognition programme will deliver more value to JetPrivilege members than ever before”
